Your Enrollment Journey: Frequently Asked Questions

Preparing for your child's early education journey is a beautiful milestone, and we are here to make the transition as seamless and transparent as possible. As a fully licensed childcare facility in British Columbia, we prioritize open communication and supportive family partnerships from day one.

How do we secure a space for our child at Raising Stars Preschool℠?Due to our small class sizes and dedication to maintaining a peaceful, low-ratio environment, spaces are limited. To begin your journey, families must first complete our online Waitlist or Tour Request form. When a placement that fits your schedule becomes available, our administration team will contact you directly to discuss the next steps for enrollment.
Do you charge a fee just to join the waitlist?No. In strict alignment with British Columbia child care operating standards, we do not charge any fees or administrative costs simply to join our waitlist.
Can we tour the indoor and outdoor spaces before enrolling?Absolutely. Creating a strong relationship with our families starts before day one. We host private, scheduled tours during specific hours to avoid interrupting our programs, respecting the focused flow of our current students' day while giving you an unhurried opportunity to explore our natural classrooms and adventure yard.
Are your programs part of BC CCFRI programs?Yes. As a participating facility, Raising Stars Preschool℠ programs receive the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI) funding. These provincial savings are passed along directly to our families, automatically lowering your out-of-pocket monthly tuition fees without requiring any paperwork on your end.
Can we apply the BC Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) to our tuition?Yes. Eligible families with household incomes up to $111,000 may qualify for additional monthly support through the ACCB. While parents must apply for this benefit directly through the provincial government website each year, our administration team will happily provide the required Child Care Arrangement Form to complete your application.

The Fine Print

To ensure a smooth and positive experience for your child, Raising Stars Preschool℠ requires a minimum enrollment of two days per week. Attending preschool on consecutive days—or with only one day in between—helps reduce anxiety and supports your child in adjusting to their new environment. This consistency fosters stronger social connections and allows children to feel more secure and confident in their classroom community.

 

Registration Fee:
A non-refundable $80 registration fee is required to hold your child’s spot. Please note that your child’s space is not guaranteed until this fee is received.

 

Enrollment Capacity:
We have 30 spaces available each day, but only 24 may be filled by Preschool + Childcare (full-day) children, ensuring a balanced and quality learning environment for all.

Monthly fees are due on the 1st of every month and can be paid by e-transfer, cash, cheque, or PayPal.

Closures, Holidays & Withdrawal Policy

Closures & Holidays:
Raising Stars is closed on all statutory holidays. A detailed closure calendar will be provided at the beginning of each school year—or at the time of registration if joining mid-year.

 

Please note:
There are no fee adjustments or refunds for holidays, family vacations, school events, breaks, or absences due to illness. Tuition reserves your child’s space—not their attendance.

 

Withdrawals:
Should you need to withdraw your child, we require one month’s written notice. If you choose to withdraw immediately, you will be responsible for the following month’s tuition.
